Our Convict Heritage (ID 4348)
William Apted was sentenced to life for Highway Robbery.
He was deported from Portsmouth 18th November 1834 and transported to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania).
- Elizabeth Paul received a 14 year sentence for “Stealing From the Person” and was transported to Australia in 1834.
- William and Elizabeth were married In St David’s church Hobart.
- Their daughter, Annie Apted married Charles Collins in 1864
